Im 58, 400lbs and have had zero issues with any Disney World ride, Space Mountain is a giant pain to get out of and the only thing I havent dared to try is Seven Dwarfs, otherwise everything is wonderful. In some cases, a ride may seat multiple guests but they dont necessarily have to have more than one guest in the compartment. If you were on the same row, you can always use the mom bar (mom throwing an arm over the kid) if its needed, but its not really needed.
