I am excited to challenge myself at a new leadership role. Having served as a CIO since January 2023, I have been privileged to lead the transformation of campus technology and foster a culture where IT empowers learning, research, and community engagement. My career, spanning over 25 years in higher education and enterprise technology environments, reflects a
commitment to strategic leadership, collaborative innovation, and service excellence.

My approach to IT leadership is simple: technology should enable people to do their best work. That philosophy
has guided my team-building e􀆯orts at ECSU, where I’ve united faculty, sta􀆯, and students around a shared vision
for the future. By establishing a campus-wide IT Governance committee, I ensured that our technology decisions
are transparent, inclusive, and aligned with both ECSU’s mission and the UNC System’s strategic goals. I am proud
to have developed a paid, multi-year student IT program that provides participants with real-world skills and
prepares them to excel in today’s workforce.

In every role, from Director of Information Technology at UNC Chapel Hill to my early days as a systems analyst and
multimedia developer, I have focused on aligning technology solutions with organizational priorities. At ECSU, I’ve
spearheaded the implementation of a state-of-the-art video collaboration system, designed a new 4K video studio,
and introduced a simplified paging solution for classrooms and conference spaces, while managing a $500,000
annual IT budget and servicing over 250 faculty and sta􀆯, as well as more than 12,000 public o􀆯icials annually.

I bring a deep technical background—spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and application
development—paired with an MBA specializing in cybersecurity and a National Certified Government CIO
credential. This blend of strategic vision and hands-on expertise allows me to identify creative, cost-e􀆯ective
solutions that drive measurable improvements in teaching, learning, and university operations.
Above all, I believe in the power of collaboration. I work hard to ensure that every member of the IT team feels
empowered, motivated, and accountable. I am committed to transparent communication, ongoing professional
development, and fostering a climate of innovation. My work with external partners, vendors, and peer institutions
has equipped me with the perspective and relationships needed to anticipate challenges and seize emerging
opportunities.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to discussing how my experience and vision can help
North Carolina A&T State University reach new heights.
